This winter, we’re offering a 5 month strength training and nutrition program designed for women just like you.

Stronger Together: a group program designed to support women who want to build their strength year round so we can be even stronger for the next riding season.

What You Get in the Stronger Than Ever Program

  • Let’s build community and build strength together this winter! Whether you are totally new to strength training OR a seasoned gym rat, our program will challenge you and help you build strength. Learn from certified personal trainer, avid mountain biker, and all around amazing gal, Grace Alford, owner of Trail Mix Training.

  • To keep the stoke going, each participant will also gain access to at home training plans and an app that will guide you through weekly workouts. These programs can be done at home or the gym at your own pace. Track you progress and see that strength grow! (We highly recommend a gym membership to complete these workouts.)

  • Additionally, each participant will get personalized feedback from Grace to support your strength training goals and progress. If you have questions about your strength training plan or simply want some input from an expert, check in with Grace to stay on track and get the most out of this program.

  • Build power and endurance on the bike through spin classes targeted to increase your strength as a mountain biker. Program participants will have access to one spin class per month.

  • Designed by a certified cycling coach, our on-the-bike training plan will help you stay on track in the off season using a guided process to keep those legs strong and spinning.

  • Learn how to fuel your mountain biking adventures through nutrition coaching that fits your lifestyle and goals. Your personalized 1:1 consult will build the foundation for dialing in your nutrition through this program. Check in on your progress throughout the program with a weekly check-in with Erica.

  • Struggle with what to eat to build strength? Ready to simplify your nutrition and take the guess work out of it? Receive a customized nutrition guide, complete with grocery shopping guides, meal planning tips, portion guides, and more.

  • Feel like you start strong but then find it hard to stay on track in the winter? This program will help you stay on track with regular accountability check-ins as a group and personalized feedback from Erica.

  • Not sure what to do when we transition from winter to spring? We will make sure you are set up for success to transition into spring riding! Each participant will receive an end of season wrap up with tools, resources, and a plan to keep you on track in the off-season, personalized to YOU and your goals.

  • Direct access to Crank Queens Founder and wellness coach, Erica Davis for coaching support via our monthly sessions. Ask your burning questions about health, nutrition, rest and recovery, stress reduction and more. Calls are recorded for those who can’t attend live.

  • Want to find those adventure buddies this winter and get stronger together? Interact on the Voxer group chat to connect, build community, share ideas, and find adventure buddies. When you hit the trails in the spring, you will have an amazing group of women to enjoy riding with, all built through this group program.

Meet Erica, your coach.

I started as a total beginner mountain biker in the spring of 2018. Although I’ve always been a fairly active adult, I’d lost focus on my fitness with the busyness of life. Riding 6 miles was a BIG accomplishment that first summer.

Eight mountain bikes and five years later, I now compete in endurance MTB races, train other athletes, and help women around the US start their own MTB communities.

Never did I imagine on that first ride that I would go from 6 miles being exhausting to riding 80+ miles in one day during an endurance MTB race where I placed 1st!

All this while raising a family, leading organizations, and volunteering as a coach for student athletes. (And finding time to read a good book here and there every once in a while…)

A lot of women ask me how I do it. How do I find time to ride with everything on my plate?

The truth? I’ve had to learn to prioritize my health and prioritize myself. And, I invested in myself through skills clinics, learning bike maintenance, buying gear that worked for me, and surrounding myself with other women who love to ride.

 FAQs

  • Whether you are new to mountain biking or a seasoned rider, our program will help you challenge yourself, build strength, understand how to fuel your body for all your outdoor adventures, and prioritize yourself. No experience required! We provide all the tools you need for success.

  • Great! This is a perfect jump start for you. Build your strength this winter through this program and then join us in the spring for a Beginner Skills Clinic to get started.

  • No, this program does not involve skills clinics. We will host programs in the spring and summer that include skills clinics. If you are part of this program, you will have first access to register!

  • Yes, the program commitment is 5 months, November through March. This program is for women who are ready to prioritize their health goals. It is not a drop in program. Change happens in community and throughout these 5 months you will also be building connection and community with other women who are working on their goals. If you miss a session, that’s OK. Just remember, you get out of it what you put into it!

  • Be prepared to dedicate at minimum 3 hours/month to this program. That includes participating in a monthly events (2 hrs) and a monthly live Q&A session (1 hr). The more you invest - the more you will get out of this.

  • Nope! But members DO get a discount!

  • This program runs for 5 months. Exact event dates/times and Q&A times will be scheduled to start in November. Strength training live sessions will be hosted on weekdays in Boise in the evenings after work. Location/exact time TBD. See full program agreement for terms.

  • In-person events will happen in the evenings after work. Q+A Calls will be hosted on Friday mornings at 7am MT.

  • The program investment is $299/month for 5 months. Enroll in the Full Send option ($379/month) and receive weekly 1:1 coaching check-ins with Erica via Voxer, plus a ticket to our half-day retreat this winter in Boise.
